Brendan Rodgers keen to sign two key Celtic players to Leicester

New Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to sign two of his former Celtic players, according to a report on the Metro.

Rodgers is a big fan of Callum McGregor and James Forrest, who both played very well under his management.

McGregor has scored six goals and provided ten assists this season, whilst Forrest has scored 13 and assisted 18 this term.

The former Liverpool manager decided to leave the Hoops and join the Foxes on a deal that will keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2022.

And he is already looking at ways to strengthen his new side, with McGregor and Forrest both being high on his list of targets.

Celtic are reportedly bracing themselves for offers for the two players, with McGregor valued at £15m whilst Forrest could be available for £10m.

Rodgers was present to witness his new team win 2-1 against Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday evening, with goals from Demarai Gray and Jamie Vardy sealing the three points.
