A blow to feminists as MPs boycotted the gender bill

The gender bill now seems to have hit a dead end after it flops again, now the fourth time. The delay in maturation of the law is a blow to feminists who anticipate the bill in their favour.

Wednesday, MPs boycotted the bill after the parliament failed to hit the minimum required quorum.

Justin Muturi, the speaker made the declaration that the motion would not proceed.

Out of the required 233 MPs, only 174 showed up. For the voting to have taken place, it required the 233 out of 349 MPs.
