Is Willy Paul a gospel artist or a secular artist?
This has been a question that many people have been asking and some choose to describe him as a secular artist while other describe him as a gospel musician.
His genre of music recently has been a mixture of love themed songs and he has also had collabos with secular artists; this might have been the point at which some people fail to understand what category he identifies himself with.
In his own words, he asks people not to judge him because they have no idea where he started off from.
His first song that caught the attention of Kenyans is Sitolia which was a collabo with Gloria Muliro. His style of music has however changed ever since.
Size 8 Speaking to Mseto East Africa says that Willy Paul is a gospel artist and that she listens to his songs which he describes as ‘love songs’
Size 8 was speaking on why she does not listen to secular songs and she also made it clear that she listens to love songs of artists like Willy Paul, Kidum among others.
Willy Paul has been facing criticism with some even suggesting that he should cross over to the secular industry.
The artist has however stood firm to his path and says that he changes the hate to positive energy and that is what keep him going.
