Pumped up and hungry Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was over the moon after Arsenal cruised past Bate Borisov into Europa League last 16 and the Gabon international appears to already be in the mood for the last 16 of the Europa League even before the draw has been made.

The Gunners had suffered a 1-0 away loss in the first leg but overturned the deficit at home after securing a 3-0 victory over BATE Borisov on Thursday to seal a 3-1 aggregate win with a fourth-minute own goal from Zakhar Volkov – off Aubameyang’s delivery – and efforts from Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Aubameyang fizzed a low cross which deflected off Volkov’s shins to open the scoring and get the Premier League club up and running and they didn’t look back.

The draw for the next round takes place on Friday as Arsenal and rivals Chelsea learn their fate.

Aubameyang will clearly be watching closely as he tweeted “let’s see who’s coming next”.

The 29-year-old also took to the social media again to celebrate the victory while applauding the team for a job well done.

“Job done, [we] go to the next round,” Aubameyang posted on Instagram.

But his manager doesn’t seem to share his excitement.

Unai Emery  accepts it will be “very difficult” for  Arsenal  to win the Europa League.

When he was at Sevilla as he won the trophy three years running but he knows a fourth medal is asking a lot.

“We can (win it) and maybe if we can say six teams (can win it), one is Arsenal but it is very difficult and a lot of teams want the same,” he said.

“We need to create a big atmosphere in this competition with our supporters and this feeling can give us more opportunities after our quality and capacity as a team. We need to feel stronger with every supporter and create this atmosphere around us.

The Gabon international who made his 33rd appearance this season in the encounter, featured for the entire duration but could not add to his 18 goal-haul.

Arsenal will now shift attention to their next Premier League game against Southampton on Sunday.
