Patroba Odhiambo Tobia, Patel Ketulkumar Govindbhai

Human trafficking is one of the most heinous acts in the world. It is unfathomable to think that there are some people out there that can participate in such crimes against humanity!
Therefore, a Kenyan and an Indian who are suspected to be part of a human trafficking syndicate will be held five days for police to complete their probe.

Initially, the government had requested for an additional 15 days to detain the Kenyan Patroba Odhiambo Tobia and the Indian, Patel Ketulkumar Govindbhai for the said period of time.

Through lawyer Abdul Agonga, the two told the court that the offence they were likely to be charged with was bailable and that a 15-day detention period was too long.

Through an affidavit, Immigration officer Gilbert Nawate said the two went into police custody on February 20 at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi

It is believed that the two are involved in the smuggling of individuals to various countries around the globe!

Milimani Principal Magistrate Bernard Nzakyo said the case will be mentioned on February 26.

Additionally, the police confiscated the suspect personal items as well as their phones.
