What a Deal for Rashford!

Marcus Rashford has been rejuvenated under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, netting six goals in eight Premier League games under the Norwegian.

The England star had been linked with a move away from the club after rumours about his unhappiness with Jose Mourinho in charge.

The 21-year-old was in and out of the starting line-up and was often played out wide instead of in his preferred centre forward position.

But the Norwegian Manager has changed all of that, putting his faith in the youngster ahead of £75m signing Romelu Lukaku.

According to reports, there has been a recent breakthrough in negotiations and Rashford is preparing to sign a new £200,000-a-week deal to keep him at the club until 2025.

His current contract runs until 2020, although there is an option for a further year.

The report claims that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is confident he will be able to announce the new contract in the next few weeks.

Woodward promised there would be contract news on current players in a call to investors last week, and he aims to conclude a deal for Ander Herrera alongside Rashford in the next few weeks.

This will be an added joy to United fans days after another star Anthony Martial penned a 5-year contract deal.

Both Martial and Rashford were about to leave the club during Mourinho’s time.

So far, Rashford has won Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup with United.

He has achieved a record of 100 appearance netting 26 goals for United.
