Kenya Agrees to resolve Maritime Dispute with Somalia

Kenya agreed on steps to resolve a maritime border dispute with Somalia and measures to protect the East African nation’s territory, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s office said in an emailed statement after a cabinet meeting.

The foreign affairs ministry will communicate details of the resolution later on Thursday, according to the statement.

Kenya last week said Somalia auctioned oil and gas blocks in a disputed area off their coastlines, an allegation its neighbor denied.
