DP Ruto airlifts a young boy for treatment

Ian Kipkoech, a 6-year-old Olengisha Bright Star Academy pupil in Bomet county got free treatment at the Aga-khan hospital courtesy of Deputy President William Ruto.

The Deputy President sponsored Ian Kipkoech after he recited a poem that entertained him at a public forum.

The 6-year-old boy was diagnosed with Spina Bifida. Spina bifida is a birth defect where there is an incomplete closing of the backbone and membranes around the spinal cord.

On Tuesday 19th, the DP represented by his communication director Emmanuel Talam airlifted Kipkoech and his mother,Yvonne Chelangat, from Longisa in Bomet county to Aga Khan hospital.

Governor Joyce Laboso accompanied Ian and his mother to the hospital and thanked the deputy president for keeping hi word on helping the boy.
