The Chief Justice David Maraga is finding a hard time to defend his position after a section of Kenyans expressed their anger in regard to his attendance at a function in Kisii county which was graced by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday. At the function, the CJ is seen shaking hands with the president in a row which harbored DP William Ruto, ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
In a row of comments, the Chief Justice is pinned for attending a political function contrary to his position as the head of judiciary in the country which is a sensitive arm of government and dining with politicians will ruin the independence of the institution.
During the visit, the president launched medical infrastructure and equipment at the Kisii Technical Referal Hospital.
The president presided over the ceremony of the ksh2.25 Billion Cancer Diagnostic and Treatment center which will be funded by Arab Bank for economic development in Africa and the Saudi Fund for development.
