That was perhaps the same dilemma for Boniface Murage, the man who was arrested for attempting to sneak his child out of Kenyatta Hospital over a bill mounting to Sh56,937.
On appearing before the judge, Mwangi pleaded guilty for the crime and added that he was fearing that his wife and child could be detained at the hospital over the bill. The bill would increase every day with any continued detention at the hospital.
His lawyer pleaded for Mercy before the judge with the argument that Mwangi was remorseful. Murage was handed a three-month sentence.
