Renowned Eldoret business man conned millions of shillings

The Eldoret business man, Jackson Kibor has been conned wheat worth sh. 2,7 million by a man identified as Lawrence Kosgei at Kabenes, Uasin Gishu County. Kibor explained in the court before Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa, that Kosgei agreed to pay him sh. 3,100 per bag for about 827 bags; ”He came to my house and we went directly to the store, where he picked samples of the wheat and promised to come back the next day.”

Kosgei loaded the wheat in two trucks and later claimed to have paid the money to Kibor’s eldest son via Trans National Bank. Kibor insists that his son was in Uganda and was not present when they were negotiating on the wheat business. The case will be heard on 16th April, 2019.

Kibor is a well known business man, politician and a polygamist. He has been hitting headlines due to his repeated actions of marrying and divorcing his wives. He is not the person to joke with, as one can remember a situation where he shot his son over a land issue.

Other than his ex-wives and sons he referred to as invaders, Kibor has been locked in a fight with his daughter-in-law. He once deflated the wheels of his daughter-in-law’s tractor.”They want to rob me of the land but I will not accept that,” the farmer said. The daughter-in-law, Jane Kibor, reported the matter to Ziwa police.Kibor said he would stick with his fourth wife, Eunita, 36.”I will not marry another wife because I am happy with my fourth wife Eunita.”Only time will tell.
