Meghan Markle touched down in the Big Apple on Friday 15, 2019 to celebrate her pregnancy.
The exclusive baby shower will take place at a hotel on the Upper East Side, according to Page Six. Markle’s best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney will be coordinating the shower on Tuesday. There will be 15 guests.
Speaking to The Sun, expert Victoria Arbert stated that baby showers are outside the norm of the royal family.
“A lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate. There’s nothing they can’t go out and buy themselves,” she explained.
Perhaps this explains why Markle chose to have the baby shower privately with a limited guest list that consists only of her inner circle.
Page Six further reports that it is unclear whether she will be hosting another baby shower in UK.
Markle and her husband Prince Harry are expecting their first child in April.
