FA Cup Draw; Manchester United edges chelsea out to land Wolves in an quarter finals

Manchester United came with a bang from last week’s loss from PSG in a UEFA Champions clash to beat and book their place in the FA Cup quarter-final with a comfortable 2-0 win over Chelsea.

Led by a man of the match display from Paul Pogba, United saw off the home side’s early threat and took charge with two goals before half-time.

Pogba’s teasing delivery was headed home by Ander Herrera to open the scoring, before the Frenchman himself powered home the second.

Chelsea again flattered to deceive under Maurizio Sarri and exit the competition with little more than a whimper, as United won at Stamford Bridge for the first time since 2012.

The Manchester clubs have kept apart in the draw for the FA Cup quarter-finals, made shortly after United2-0 defeat of Chelsea. Manchester City will make another trip to south Wales, this time to play Swansea, after beating Newport County in the fifth round. And United will travel to Wolves. Brighton face a daunting trip to Mill wall while there is an all-Premier League tie at Vicarage Road where Watford will host Crystal Palace.

The WSL leaders, Manchester City, who won the competition in 2017, will host Liverpool. Reading welcome Manchester United while Aston Villa host West Ham aiming to cause an upset.

Immediately after the Manchester United and Chelsea game, the FA Cup quarter-final draw was conducted by former Manchester United and Chelsea former players.

In the quarter finals draw, Swansea will face dreadful Manchester City, Watford will start from home against Crystal Palace, Manchester United who have seen Arsenal and latest culprit Chelsea will start away at fire breathing Wolves while Mill wall start from home against Brighton.

In the women FA Cup the holders, Chelsea, will travel to Durham in the quarter-final. Reading will host Manchester United, Aston Villa will play against West ham, While Manchester will host Lier pool Durham are fourth in the FA Women Championship with Chelsea third in the WSL.
