How Mr 9 Lives Martin Wambora’s Wisdom Made Embu Nurses Call off Strike

The ongoing nurses strike has greatly jeopardized the delivery of health services all across the country. Kenyans have remained the most affected as their quest for proper medicare still remains elusive.

The situation on the ground is so bad that Patients have had to be sent home as various health centers across the Country remain closed.

However, In Embu County, Residents can breath a sigh of relief after Nurses there called off their strike.

The move comes after a round table meeting with the county government and the Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) – Embu Chapter officials.

Making the announcement, Embu Governor Martin Wambora said both parties had reached a return to work formula.

“My Government will meet obligations herein signed by the National Government and County Government and abide by the Constitution of Kenya 2010,” Wambora said.

“We shall engage in dialogue onwards with concerned parties to avert such obscene scenes in future.”

The county boss said the unity pact witnessed on Monday will be a huge stride towards the achievement of universal health for all.

Nurses in Embu county joined the strike last week on Monday.
