Governor Sonko offers helping hand to man who attempted to smuggle daughter out of KNH

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has offered a helping hand to the family of a man accused of attempting to smuggle daughter out of KNH.

Sonko’s  rescue team went to Kenyatta National Hospital after the release of Agnes who is the wife to Boniface Murage.

Immediately after her release,Sonko’s rescue team took her  for shopping  for the mother and her child.

The Governor also ordered his  team to follow up with Boniface Murage Wangeci who was arrested and presented before milimani law courts for trying to smuggle his daughter out of Kenyatta National Hospital as he couldn’t raise ksh 56,000 bill.

After visiting Kenyatta National Hospital for the release of Agnes we are now doing the Shopping for the mother and her innocent child.We are also following up with Boniface Murage Wangeci who was arrested and presented before milimani law courts for trying to smuggle his daughter out of Kenyatta National Hospital as he couldn't raise ksh 56,000 bill. He is only 22yrs and jobless but the love for his daughter forced him to mess the law just like any father.He pleaded guilty and the court is set to sentence him tomorrow.The man never involved himself in crime or unlawful deals.

Sonko also mentioned that Boniface Murage is 22yrs and jobless but the love for his daughter forced him to mess the law just like any father.

He pleaded guilty and the court is set to sentence him tomorrow. Sonko’s team have pledged to be present during the court session which is scheduled for 19th February.

The Governor also noted that the man  has never involved himself in crime or unlawful deals and they will therefore give their support and await the court ruling.

Other leaders who have taken action following the incident is Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino.

The Member of parliament, on Monday offered to settle the hospital bills and legal expenses for Boniface Murage  saying that he already got a lawyer to handle his case.

“As soon as we have made sure he is released, we will then head to the hospital in question and settle all the incurred expenses and reunite him (Mr. Murage) with his family,” said the lawmaker.
