Local leaders in Kilifi have threatened to cut-off water supply Baricho Water Works in Malindi sub-county if water problem remains unsolved.
Led by the Water and Environment Committee chair Hassan Mohamed, they toured the water installation.
In the tour, they found that much of the water (60%)from their reservoirs is piped to Mombasa while the remainder is given to kilifi.
The MCAs gave the water board a maximum of two weeks to settle the water crisis after which they will mobilise the residents to spoil the pipes if the crisis remains unresolved.
