Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has today made public a top project under his administration that he set up in order to solve water shortage cases in the county.
The Kambicha-Marereni-Kanagoni water project is one of the major projects that his administration has embarked on to ensure they bring to a halt the perennial water shortage experienced in areas of Magarini, Kaloleni and Ganze Sub-Counties.
The Governor mentioned that all this transformation has been achieved due to the devolved system of Governance & the support that he gets from the good people of Kilifi.
He also called upon the national government to fully embrace devolution so that people especially, those at the grassroots level can enjoy.
Kingi also mentioned that his administration is making more plans to ensure water services are brought closer to Wananchi and ensure they have uninterrupted access to fresh and clean water.
The project has alleviated water shortage and relieved the hardship faced by women and children who have had to walk for long distances looking for water.
The water pipeline project will see over 25,000 families access clean water for domestic use.
