Dynamics in Kenyan politics don’t seize to amaze especially over the coming 2022 general elections that is daily gathering alot of heat.

In a statement on Tuesday,Mutua criticised Kalonzo for proposing the extension of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s term.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is no longer interested in becoming the President and should support my bid in 2022, Governor Alfred Mutua has said.

The Governor was reacting to an interview in which Kalonzo said on Citizen TV on Tuesday night that Uhuru’s term should be extended.

“With this confirmation, he is really just going for a deputy position, I again respectfully urge Hon Kalonzo to support my Presidential bid,” Mutua said.

“During the said interview, Kalonzo clearly indicated that President Uhuru’s term should be extended, either as President or PM. That he will only be interested in being a Deputy Prime Minister,” Mutua said.

“He has now made it clear that he has no intention to be the leader of Kenya. Let him stop pushing President Uhuru to extend his term.”

Mutua said Uhuru is a visionary leader and not a dictator, and he has in many instances said he will retire after his second term.

Mutua said he supported Uhuru when his “new supporters” were insulting him and planning for his indictment at the ICC.
