LIST of Kenya’s Top Most Snobbish Celebrities

Kenyans just have a way of celebrating their own. As such, they have a whole lot of idols in the media industry, comedy, politics and business. A significant number of the idols happen to be in the music industry, though.

While it is every fan’s dream to come face-to-face with a celebrity they love, only a few celebrities are able to comfortably meet fans. If you are unlucky enough to meet the top snobbish Kenyan celebs, you would regret why you even met them in the first place.

A list has emerged online about Kenya’s most snobbish celebrities, sparking a hot debate on its validity. While a section agree that some celebrities are way over the top mean, some say their experiences with the celebrities implicated were cordial.

Whichever the case, this is the list.

1. Caroline Mutoko

Topping the list is Radio Africa’s Chief Marketing officer, Caroline Mutoko. A witty, straight-shooting Mutoko is a Kenyan Radio show host with a 10-year impeccable industry experience.

Mutoko is said reportedly proud, arrogant, and always wants stuff to o her way. While these may be personal experiences of individuals, the tough-talking radio queen is downright assertive and eloquent.

Cross her line and you will get the lecture of the century.

2. Larry Madowo

Celebrated versatile Kenyan journalist Larry Madowo is another one. Larry currently works with the BBC after having a successful career with NTV. While at Nation Media group, Larry proved his mettle by having a weekly column, hosting a radio show and being a presenter and a sow-host as well.

While Larry is a hard worker, rumour has it that humble is not the choicest adjective to describe him.

At one point, Larry is reported to have left a local news writer’s face pale with disappointment when she called him but Larry mumbled only a few words and hung up on her.

“I am busy…Have a good day,” were the words of Larry to the journalist. For a fan, he probably wouldn’t lift his clean-shaven head to look at you. Fair enough, he could be busy at the time.

3. Octopizzo

High-flying Kenyan rapper Octopizzo also appears on the list. The Kibera-raised rapper is said to be rude, cocky and egoistic. At some point, he is reported to have been cancelling shows on trivialities. However, Octopizzo still prides himself with his troubled upbringing, and often talks about the excesses of the government. Most artistes prefer keeping their heads down.

4. Njoki Chege

Tough-talking, highly-opinionated NMG journalist Njoki Chege is one ‘celebrity’ rumoured to be unfriendly, egoistic and in her own world.

She thrives in controversy and spot-light, and has the guts to talk about stuff everyone else is avoiding. If she were a child, she would probably be a second-born, soft on the outside, rock-hard on the inside.
