William Ruto Refuses to Declare his wealth on BBC Hard Talk

‘Why don’t you do your homework?’ That was the answer that Deputy President William Ruto gave to BBC’s renown journalist Stephen Sackur during an interview on Monday.

The legendary journalist had asked Ruto to declare his net worth. Sackur wanted Ruto to come clear about what he owns and his totak wealth. But the DP was adamant that the information is in the public domain.

“That information is available in public domain. I encourage you to Google and find out what William Ruto owns.” Ruto said. The journalist was so frustrated to the point he asked Ruto if he was making sense.

“Do you think that information you are telling me makes any sense?” wondered Sackur.

The DP replied, “Of course, it does. It doesn’t make sense to you?

Sackur explained, “Not really, because you do not want to tell me how much you are worth.

Ruto however admitted that his Weston Hotel was build on grabbed land.
