Residents of Karare in Marsabit County residents have left Kenyans in stitches after hilariously deciding to give politicians a taste of their own medicine.Bottles of muddy water were placed at the ‘high table’ for dignitaries as they visited Karare area in Marsabit to urge residents to support establishment of a municipality.
The angered residents attended a scheduled meeting on Monday with their leaders provided muddy drinking water as a form of refreshment. This was intentionally done to express anger to their that hey allege have never worked towards providing them with a clean, reliable source of water. “Our problem is water, not a municipality,” the residents told the visiting delegation.
Apparently, whatever they use for cooking, drinking and cleaning is contaminated and completely unfit for human consumption.
Sadly, that problem has never been tackled and this was a rare chance to give the leaders a view of the kind of life the residents live.
According to the locals, that was a simple show of misplaced responsibilities on the part of the politicians.
Kenyans who were completely tickled described this act as an effective mode of communication that surely passed the intended message perfectly.
Others just congratulated the daring locals for having the balls to tackle their leaders in such a smart yet cunning way.
In Karare we served what they are used to, drinking muddy waters #MarsabitWater. serving what we have is becoming an issue/Demeaning someone? So be it. Then give us that you call clean water simple. We are human just like you leaders/dignitaries as you call them. Proud of you @Dr
