Everton have been given a huge boost in their efforts to keep Richarlison at Goodison Park, as AS understands that Atletico Madrid will not force a move.

The Spanish publication believes that the La Liga giants are interested in the Brazilian, but add that Los Rojiblancos’ Technical Director Andrea Berta has held discussion’s with the forward’s entourage to sound out the player’s interest in a move.

However, Diego Simeone’s side will not force the transfer if Everton price the 2016 Champions League finalists out of the market, which they would likely do given Richarlison became the Toffees’ record buy in 2018.

The deal to bring the 21-year-old to Goodison Park from Watford could reach 50 million pounds and the former Hornets star has been instrumental for Marco Silva with ten goals in the Premier League – the most of any Everton player so far this season.

The Daily Star also reported on Sunday that Chelsea, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in signing Richarlison in the summer, so Everton’s efforts to retain his services could yet come under fire.
