After climbing back into the top four for the first time since the opening day of the season on Saturday, Manchester United are back in Champions League action on Tuesday when they face PSG.

United’s victory over the lowly Fulham was perfect preparation for the last 16 first leg clash as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was able to rest some key players while his team strolled to the three points, with Solskjaer’s undefeated streak still in tact.

The Norwegian has now won 10 of his 11 games in the Old Trafford hot-seat and advancing to the Champions League quarter finals over a depleted PSG could be a real possibility, something not many believed when the draw was conducted.

The French champions will already be without Neymar for both legs after the Brazilian suffered a foot injury and now striker Edinson Cavani is a major doubt after injuring a tendon in his hip when scoring a penalty against Bordeaux.

Belgian right-back Thomas Meunier is also set to miss out after suffering a concussion in the same game and midfielder Marco Verratti may be short of fitness after only just returning from his own injury troubles.

The Parisians still have a wealth of talent at their disposal, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Julian Draxler and former United man Angel Di Maria, but being without two of their best players will be a massive blow and give United a significant advantage.

Manchester United vs PSG will be broadcasted on BT Sport 2 from 7pm.

Kick-off from Old Trafford is at 8pm on Tuesday February 12.
