Here are the records that Aguero broke after Manchester City win

Manchester City talisman Sergio Aguero produced a world-class performance in the 6-0 demolition of Chelsea as he bagged a hat-trick, breaking one and equaling two records in the process.

Despite sealing the hat-trick, Aguero could have easily had four goals were it not for his shocking miss after Bernardo Silva delivered a low cross, across the face of goal that found the Argentine on the far post totally unmarked but he put his effort wide.

His three goals followed his hat-trick last week against Arsenal, and the Argentine striker now has 11 Premier League hat-tricks for City, putting him level with Alan Shearer’s record.

Aguero also became only the sixth player to score or assist 200 goals for one club in the Premier League, joining Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, and Steven Gerrard.

But one record Aguero now holds outright is for City, where he has overtaken Eric Brook and Tommy Johnson’s 158 top-flight goals for the club.
