Drake Cut-Off From Finishing His Grammy Acceptance Speech! Fans Angry…

Drake is hands down one of the most influential rappers in the music industry today.

No doubt he holds the mantle of the most successful rapper in the 21st Century, boasting hits like ‘In my Feelings’ and ‘Controlla.’

So it’s no surprise that he bagged the best rap song award for his incredible work on ‘God’s Plan.’

Interestingly, it was his raw and emotional acceptance speech that captivated the hearts of his audience.

So much so that the Award Show had to cut-off the speech halfway through.

In the speech, Drake appears to be passing the message that the Grammy’s don’t really matter and that the one true gift any artist can have is when his or her fans spend their hard-earned money to attend all the shows and concerts they hold.

He believes that what truly matters is when a song is able to captivate an individual to the point that they are able to sing the lyrics word for word despite handling all the issues of their everyday life.

That being said, Drake wasn’t the only one who had his acceptance speech cut short by the Academy.

Dua Lipa, who bagged the best new artist 2019 award, was cut short as well.

In fact, her speech touched on the underrepresentation of female artists by the academy. It was when she began touching on this information that the producer cut her off.

Ironically, the next speech after Dua Lipa was a boast touching on how the recording Academy had increased the number of female artists in the industry!

Clearly, both Drake and Dua Lipa fans were not amused, and they took to Twitter to voice their disappointment.

It looks like the Academy has a lot of explaining to do regarding both instances!
