Earlier on ODM leader Raila Odinga’s daughter Rosemary moved to court to sue her personal assistant John Odour for allegedly stealing from her.
The suspect was on Monday charged alongside his wife, Christine Anyango, before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.
John Ayub, a personal assistant to Rosemary and Christine Jane Anyango were accused that on November 15,2018 at unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, jointly conspired together to steal Sh 245,000 from the property of Rosemary Adhiambo Odinga.
In the second count, Ayub was charged with stealing Sh 245,000 from the property of Rosemary.Jane faced a last count of making use of Identity Card belonging to another person contrary to the law.
The court heard that on November 15, 2018 at Target Network Limited in Nairobi, Jane unlawfully made use of a national Identity Card in the name of David Munyasia and registered Sim Card and Mpesa at the said Target work Limited.
They were released on Sh on a bond of Sh 200,000 or a cash bail of Sh 100,000 each.The matter will be heard on February 25, 2019.
The unfortunate incident takes place after Odinga’s daughter went public about her loss of sight while undergoing treatment for a mild stroke.
