Another Man utd old boy Paul Scholes lands big appointment

Paul Scholes has been unveiled as the new manager of League Two side Oldham Athletic after being cleared to take charge of the club.

The former Manchester United midfielder will take his first managerial role with the club he’s followed since he was a young boy, and will try to help 14th place Athletic climb up the league ladder.

Back in 2017, Scholes took charge of training Oldham’s youngsters “about once a month”.

His sessions are said to have went down extremely well with the academy side, who were no doubt ecstatic to be learning from arguably the most technically gifted players in Premier League history.

Brendy Galakin, a youth player, was certainly delighted about having the opportunity to be trained by such a decorated player.

He posted a picture of the scholar squad posing with Scholes.
