Self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Rap’ Nicki Minaj has gotten trolled after the 2019 Grammy awards where one of her biggest opponents, Cardi B, won a historical Best Rap Album- the first woman to ever win in the category.

Nicki is known to jealously guard her territory, brushing shoulders with some of the most renowned celebrities like Cardi B, Mariah Carrey, Lil Kim, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

In her rap on the song ‘Feeling Myself’ with Beyonce, Minaj says,

“Ain’t gotta rely on top 40

I am a rap legend, just go ask the kings of rap

Who is the queen and things of that

Nature; look at my finger, that is a glacier; hits like a lazer”

This, after not winning a single Grammy award led to social media trolls on #NickisDay and #NickiMinaj

Having started out rapping before Cardi B, Nicki was poised to most likely take home one of the awards, but she was not nominated for any. Neither has she ever won a Grammy despite being a multiple award winner for the BET awards, AMAs, MTV and Billboards.

Some of her big fans however still hold on to Nicki’s prowess in rap, claiming that the Grammy awards were given based on popularity and not talent.

“If I was I would leave the industry. She really has put her blood, sweat and tears into her craft and all she gets is pushed to the side and bashed 24/7. Its sad. We don’t deserve her. We Love You @NICKIMINAJ” tweeted Seann-Swae.
