Mombasa County bids to host world class conference

Mombasa has been shortlisted alongside other three cities as the preferred hosts for a prestigious convention;  the International Desalination Association World Congress.

The counties bid to host the IDA World Congress received a major boost when they yesterday  received a delegation from the International Desalination Association to assess the suitability of Mombasa as a preferred host for the 2021 congress.

Just a month ago Mombasa commissioned the desalination exercise of their water source in an effort to address the perennial issue of water shortages in Mombasa.

The county’s  intention is to improve assess to clean and fresh water to every household in Mombasa.
Hosting the World IDA Congress 2021 will therefore be a great boost to their efforts as it will expose to emerging trends in desalination as well as provide them with a platform to learn from.
As the International Desalination Association Committee retreats to select the host, it is Mombasa’s hope that the 2021 congress shall be held in Mombasa.
They also assured of their commitment saying that they are up to task to be picked as hosts.
