Homabay county Governor is a happy Man this afternoon. The Supreme court has upheld his election after its was nullified 2 times.
Governor Cyprian Awiti’s has been struggling and holding his breathes as The court of Appeal and High Court nullified his results in the favour of Oyugi Magwanga.
The case has been going on from 2007 and now Awiti can rule without any distraction. This means that Magwanga has to wait till next election to redeem himself.
Governor Awiti was represented by High counsel Lawyer James Orengo,
The leader have advised the people of Homabay to accept the outcome of the court and work with Governor Awiti Magwanga.
Governor Awiti speaking through his representative The Deputy Governor after the greatest win extended a hand of endorsement to his counter part Cyprian Awiti. He urged the leader to bury politics and focus on development agenda.
This sent his supporters into celebration mood outside the court.
