Murkomen has refuted the claims arguing that his clients were not given a fair hearing by the Orange Party.

Junet Mohammed has however come out guns blazing claiming that Ruto’s allies are misusing politicians and promising them lucrative positions.

The ODM had accused Ms Jumwa and Mr Dori of advancing the interests of another party by openly campaigning for the Deputy President to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when he retires in 2022.Related image

ODM deputy party leader and Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya chaired a NEC meeting in Nairobi at which he directed Minority Whip Junet Mohamed (Suna East MP) to immediately remove the two from all committees by notifying House Speaker Justin Muturi.

However, ODM’s National Governing Council (NGC), which is scheduled to meet early next month, will have to ratify the NEC resolution.

Party leader Raila Odinga chairs the NGC, which includes all branch chairpersons.

According to Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed , the move by Kipchumba Murkomen to represent the two is a clear sign that the two MPs have been working closely with the DP.

Mr. Murkomen is purpoted to be among other Jubilee leaders who are close confidants of Mr. Ruto and actively involved in strategizing his political path ahead of the 2022 General Election.

It is alleged that Ruto allies are regularly invited to closed-door meetings where they plan on how to hit back at politicians attacking the DP and also carry out political campaigns on Ruto’s behalf.

However, Mr. Murkomen dismissed the claims noting that in case a kitchen cabinet exits, he was too busy to carry out such a mandate.
