Jose Mourinho will reportedly hold talks with Inter Milan over returning to the club in the summer with Luciano Spalletti under pressure.
Inter sit third in the Serie A table but are a full 20 points off league leaders Juventus.
They are also 11 points off Napoli who are in second, so it’s starting to look likely that third in the best they could finish.
That plus some performances has put Spalletti under pressure and there have been several reports speaking about his future.
Now, there have been suggestions that the club are set to hold talks with former boss Jose Mourinho.
That is because according to the Mirror, Mourinho is set to hold talks with Beppe Marotta in Milan on Thursday.
They go on to explain that Mourinho has already rejected a return to Portugal with Benfica.
He will now spend time away from the limelight until the summer when he could return to management.
With reports in mind, it could be Inter Milan who Mourinho returns with.
Massimo Moratti has also spoken of a potential return to the San Siro for Mourinho.
As quoted in the same report, Moratti explained that he would have Mourinho back at Inter and that the former Man United boss ‘is special’.
“Would I like Mourinho back at Inter? Yes, I’m very fond of him,” he explained.
“However, we’ll give time to Spalletti to prove his worth. Diego Simeone? I love him too, but Mou is special.”
