After having defensive struggles this season that has seen them pick only five league clean sheets, Manchester United are reported to be interested in Napoli center half Kalidou Koulibaly, Milan Skriniar of Internazionale and Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen.
Koulibaly and Skriniar were targets under Jose Mourinho and were linked with Manchester United even in the January transfer window.
Skriniar was once flattered by Mourinho’s reported interest, “When some coach like Jose says that he is looking for a player like me or somebody else, it’s always nice, but I don’t know why these rumors continue.”

When United enquired about the 23-year-old Skriniar in the summer, Inter demanded £76million – £1m more than the world record £75m fee for a defender which Liverpool paid Southampton for Virgil van Dijk.
With United not making any signings in the January transfer window, they will almost certainly dip into the summer market with a defender being one of their prime targets
