DP Ruto allies attacked from all directions over Joho Drug trafficking allegations

A number of Rift Valley legislatures have been busy in the last couple of days spreading information that Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is linked to drug trafficking menace.

The team led by Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Oscar Sudi and Kimani Ichungwa have constantly insisted that Governor Joho was named in the Saitoti list of top people involved in drug trafficking in Kenya.

But the DP Ruto errand boys have since been attacked from all sides.

On Day Break Show on Citizen TV Senator Kimani Wamatangi dismissed their allegations telling them the matter of drug trafficking is so much sensitive to be politicized.

“Given the weight and consequences of drug trafficking/ consumption, we should ask ourselves if it is right to politicize such an issue.”

The same sentiments were echoed by Moses Kajwang who told them to present the evidence to the team of Investigators;

“The challenge should go to DCI if there is a conviction and if at the highest level of the late George Saitoti there was a view that certain person(s) were involved in narcotics trade.”

Rosa Buyu who also was part of the panel dismissed Boni Khalwale claims about Joho’s name being listed in the list arguing that a list does not guarantee prosecution.

“Producing a list does not convict anybody; what Governor Sang’ should do if he really knows that he has evidence against Joho, is not get up and address the press rather table that evidence to the investigative arm.”

This only comes after a group of ODM legislatures attacked the Rift valley politician terming them as idle and that they are pushing a dead agenda.

Previously Governor Joho had dared the Deputy President William Ruto to face him instead of using his errand boys and square out their differences.
