It is safe to say that the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Governor Cyprian Awiti’s election win was expected! After all, this is a court that has not nullified any election involving a county boss. Remember how Alfred Mutua walked away smiling?
Even before the court proceedings started, bloggers had already warned Kenyans that Awiti will still be governor after the more than 2 hours sitting, in which Justice Jackton Ojwang basically said nothing.
Homa Bay judgement on Cyprian Awiti was changed yesterday. Credible sources within the judiciary have confirmed.

Awiti might have bribed himself out of a by-election but there is something he can’t buy, fate. The county boss was not at the Supreme Court when his election was upheld.
This is because the man has been sick for quite sometime. In fact his condition is believed to be so bad that Robert Alai described him as a ‘Dead Man Managing Homa Bay.’ It is believed that the governor cannot see and underwent an eye surgery sometimes last year to rectify the situation but it has not improved.
Like I said. Supreme Court is bribe collection shop. Kenyan courts doesn’t trust even their own precedents. At the Supreme Court, the incumbent always has higher bribes. Mark that Awiti is blind and can’t even travel to Homa Bay. Dead man managing Homa Bay. Useless!!! pic.twitter.com/0jEBcgANTj

He has not been seen in his office for quite some time since last year. If the condition persists, then the people of Homa Bay could hold a by-election soon.
