Gospel Sensation Mercy Masika might be making money moves left right and center through her music ministry but one thing that remains certain is the fact that the Gospel Industry, an industry that she is a member of already has a tainted image.
The last few weeks has seen Kenyan Gospel acts come under intense criticism for engaging in ungodly acts that do not go in handy with the teachings of the bible and do not actually depict how men of God and those serving in his Ministry should carry themselves out.
While Preparing for her upcoming USA tour that will also see her attend a National Prayer Breakfast meeting alongside dignitaries like President Donald Trump, Mercy Masika shared her thoughts on the ongoing scandal sorrounding Gospel acts DK Kwenye Beat and HopeKid.
DK and Hopekid are accused of sleeping with a school girl and in the process infecting her with Herpes. The duo confirmed the allegations as true and even went ahead to seek for forgiveness but Kenyans would hear none of that.
Kenyans have instead continued to question the authenticity of the Kenyan Gospel Industry.
With all these in mind, Mercy Masika has called on Kenyans not to dwell on the problem and end up loosing sight of the solution.
She has asked that people go back to accountability in the Gospel Ministry by submitting to authentic spiritual authority.
“It is an issue that is close to my heart and a lot has already been said. When we face an issue of this magnitude sometimes we can be tempted to dwell on the problem and lose sight of the solution. We must go back to accountability in the ministry and submitting to authentic spiritual authority. ” she said.
