Political graves are being dug by politicians in Kenya currently in firece attacks made by differing opponents who have decided to publicly show their dislike for some in the caniving game.

Mombasa Governor Joho on Tuesday, February 5, sued Ichung’wa, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi for linking him to drug business.

Suna East Mp Junet Mohamedunet singled out Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa as one of the leaders who are hatching the plot to stage fake home shoot outs and bomb explosions.

“Kimani Ichung’wa, I’m told you people are planning some fake shoot outs and bomb explosions in your homes and blame it on Joho as drug wars. Tanga Tanga has really gone too low,” he tweeted on Wednesday, February 6.

In his response, the Kikuyu lawmaker distanced himself from the allegations saying he had no access to any guns nor bomb making skills. “Junet, you surely know between me and you who would have access to guns and bomb making skills or al-Shabaab ties. You also know terrorism and drug trafficking are bed fellows. Drug lords and terrorists must stop,” he shot back.

Mr Joho has denied involvement in the drugs business and accused Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa of malice.

In papers filed in court yesterday through Ochieng’ K & Associates, Mr Joho argues that the claims by the three were deliberate and calculated to inflict maximum damage on his personal image.

The governor says that, as a leader and mentor of youths, he was held in high esteem and was respected by the residents of Mombasa, his followers, peers and colleagues in the Council of Governors before the words were published.
