Interior CS Fred Matiang’i has already hit the ground running. Having today chaired his first meeting as National Development Implementation and Communication Cabinet Committee chair, Kenyans were eager to know what transpired during the meeting.
From the meeting, a resolution was passed that all Cabinet secretaries will provide a weekly report to President Uhuru Kenyatta as part of service delivery.
This was confirmed by Interior PS Karanja Kibicho.
“The committee identified challenges constraining effective execution and delivery of services,” Kibicho who is also the chairperson of National Development technical committee said on Tuesday.
He said the CSs will also present its recommendations to the President, highlighting how to address the challenges.
Kibicho said the committee received and appraised implementation plans for the government development projects and programmes.
The meeting was attended by all CSs, the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua and the AG Kihara Kariuki,.
