Details of Matiang’i first meeting as the De Facto Prime Minister

Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i today held the first meeting with other Cabinet Secretaries after his appointment as the De Facto Prime Minister.

Dr Fred Matiang’i was given the full responsibility to oversee President Uhuru Kenyatta development Project and ensuring that the Big Four Agenda flourishes.

Dr Fred Matiang’i is deputized by CS Henry Rotich who are mandated to work closely in sealing President Uhuru’s legacy.

Dr Fred Mating’i held the first meeting with all the CS to review all the development projects and programmes currently underway and those which are yet to be launched.

“The National Development Implementation and Communication Cabinet Committee has held our first meeting to review the implementation plans for all development programmes and projects to fast-track execution as directed by H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta through Executive Order No.1 of 2019.”

This meeting comes as President Uhuru Kenyatta on his way to Arusha sent a harsh warning to Cabinet Secretary. President Uhuru asked those who are not ready to serve and act to his new executive unit should resign and go home.

The same tone has been echoed by His Deputy William Ruto through a number of addresses where he has boldly expressed his determination to work towards achieving of the Development Agenda.
