#HateWillNotWin: Gospel celebrities condemn Empire Star’s hate attack

Top Gospel musicians and preachers came out to condemn the hate attack against the publicly gay Empire Star Jussie Smollet, who was on Tuesday reported to have been attacked by rogue homophobics in Chicago.

The two attackers according to Chicago Police were, “yelling out racial and homophobic slurs” and “poured an unknown chemical substance” on Smollet, who had to fight them and drove himself to hospital.

Gospel celebrities, including renowned Bishop TD Jakes publicly condemned the attack on social media, even as Christianity is against homosexuality.

“I not only pray that our society will evolve beyond hatred, but I also challenge us to cease the language that leads to lynchings,” said Bishop Jakes on Instagram.
