Bakayoko reveals one factor that will decide his Chelsea future

Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko has spoken out on his Chelsea future and revealed staying at AC Milan is his “dream”.

The midfielder was a £40million signing for the Blues back in 2017 but was shipped out on loan after just one season having failed to adapt to the Premier League.

The Frenchman has recovered from a similarly shaky start to his AC Milan stint to become a regular start for Gennaro Gattuso.

He now admits he’s hoping the San Siro club will activate their €40million purchase option to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign.

But earning a Serie A top four spot to secure Champions League football will hold the key to the deal.

“I heard what Leonardo (Milan sporting director) said,” Bakayoko told Corriere dello Sport.

“But I’m not in a position to be talk about it.

“It’s a matter for Milan and Chelsea.

“Staying at Milan is my dream, the only thought in my mind, but I have a contract with Chelsea.

“I just want to finish the season in fourth place, then we’ll think about it.”

Milan currently sit fourth in the Serie A table, just one point clear of Roma ahead of a huge clash between the two clubs tonight (Sunday, 7.30).
