Arsenal legend predicts humiliation as they face Man City

Former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas has predicted a 1-1 draw between Leicester City and Manchester United.

United head to King Power Stadium where they have always dominated matches and will be looking to keep their unbeaten run since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge.

They had to fight from 2-0 down to get a point in the 2-2 draw against Burnley at Old Trafford and Charlie feels that slip-up might have given the Foxes hints that indeed Man United can collapse.

“The first slip-up for Solskjaer, but being 2-0 down and getting something from it keeps the momentum going. Martial has re-signed his contract, so there is a feelgood factor there – they are not losing any games and keeping the group together and they have their points to prove. After going behind early at Anfield, Leicester did really well and I feel like I’m waiting for Puel to get the sack every game. They responded brilliantly at Anfield, they defended and attacked well, they did not get enough service to Vardy, but Maddison missed a couple of sitters and they could have easily won that match.” Charlie predicted.

The retired footballer feels that his former side will capitulate at the Etihad Stadium when Gunners faces Man City in another season-defining match. Charlie predicts a 3-0 Arsenal loss to Man City who remains tight in the title race with Liverpool. The Citizens are five points below the Reds and will surely fight to win the match especially after their 1-2 loss to Newcastle United at the St James Park.

“I am scared of this one for my former team. Yes, we have got into the top four and are doing better than anticipated. But Man City will be angry and will be looking to close that gap before Liverpool play and we all know that City can rip any team apart. And because it is a big team coming to play them, they will be even more up for this, so I see nothing other than a comfortable City win and Arsenal could get a bit of a run around here.”

“This is the least hopeful I have been for an Arsenal game ever, I fear they could give us real hiding and I think they will win 3-0, with the title race back on. It could be more than 3-0 and that is what really worries me as Arsenal have no defence and we will have a full-back in Monreal playing at centre-back, so it is just a shambles defensively at the moment. And that is where I do not have any hope,” he said.
