Kenyans reveal the only time you will see Martin Wambora trending

Some people believe the nine lives myth is related to cats’ ability to always land on their feet. But there is also another ‘cat’ famous for its nine lives and its none other than Wambora.

Besieged Embu Governor Martin Nyaga Wambora may rue the day he decided to contest the gubernatorial seat.
When the soft-spoken politician quit his job as Kenya Airports Authority chairman, his initial intention was to vie for the Runyenjes parliamentary seat, which had earlier been grabbed from his jaws by Cecily Mbarire.
Many would argue that Wambora indeed has the proverbial nine lives, having survived two impeachment bids. But from his body language, and his public speech, the gubernatorial seat has been  giving him sleepless nights.

The Supreme Court has upheld Embu governor Martin Wambora’s election following a petition filed by Lenny Kivuti.

The election of Mr Wambora had been nullified by Justice William Musyoka in February last year, saying the vote recount and scrutiny had unearthed various irregularities that compromised the integrity of the process.

But the governor moved to the Court of Appeal and Justices William Ouko, Daniel Musinga, and Fatuma Sichale said the burden of proof was not discharged by former Senator Lenny Kivuti.

The three judges overturned the decision, ruling the High Court erred in invalidating Mr Wambora’s election.

Not satisfied, Mr Kivuti moved to the Supreme Court seeking to overturn the decision.

However a kenyan online has left the social media in laughter after he said that the only time Martin wambora trends is when he has survived an ordeal.

Misati Wycliffe: Wherever you see Martin wambora trending just know the guy has survived on something

Two impeachment motions in a span of three months is not something Wambora had envisaged when he romped home after elections.
By the time he was quitting in readiness for the 2013 General Election, he had set the ground for a bruising battle with Mbarire who had outwitted him in the 2007 election.
Stakes were so high that the election fever had gripped the constituency just months before election and voters were waiting for the renewal of the rivalry between Wambora and Mbarire.
But as he prepared for the constituency battle, there was behind the scene manouvres to have him abandon his quest for Runyenjes for a bigger pie-the Embu governorship.

Should Wambora quit politics?
