Everton, PSG nearing a deal for the transfer of the toffees’ star

Everton and Paris Saint-Germain are nearing a deal for the transfer of Idrissa Gana Gueye, with Yahoo!Sport France suggesting that there is only one aspect left to agree.

The report published by Yahoo! Sport France has suggested that Thomas Tuchel will soon have his second new midfielder of the month, after PSG completed the signing of Leandro Paredes.

Now, the Parisian outfit’s efforts are solely on finalising the transfer of Gueye, who is desired at Les Parc des Princes even more than before as Marco Verratti has sustained an ankle injury and Adrien Rabiot is soon-to-be out-of-contract.

Everton have so far stood firm on their refusal to sell, but the word is that Gueye is keen on a move and travelled to Paris at the start of the week to negotiate the length of any contract he will sign.

The 29-year-old also missed the Toffees’ 1-0 win over Huddersfield on Tuesday night, with the club stating that he had a minor injury.

Yahoo! Sport France reporting that a deal is close, however, could rubbish that claim as they are suggesting that Everton have now accepted a bid of just over €30million (£26.1m) plus bonuses offer for the Senegal international.

The only hurdle yet to be cleared by the French giants is the payment structure.
