Why Man United aren’t interested in Arsenal’s Target Perisic

Ivan Perisic to Arsenal update. With just four days remaining in the January window, Arsenal are trying to push through a deal for Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic.

Talks are said to be ongoing between the two clubs with Perisic also keen to get the deal done.

However, the biggest stumbling block is Arsenal signing Perisic on a permanent deal.

Arsenal are said to prefer a loan move with an option to buy.

This is hardly suspiring given that Unai Emery confirmed Arsenal can only loan players this January.

“We cannot sign anyone permanently.”

“Only loan players this January.” As quoted by Sky Sports.

However, Gazette dello Sport are suggesting a loan deal could still be agreed upon once several clauses have been ironed out.

Why Man United don’t want Perisic
While it looks likely Arsenal will land Perisic this transfer window, it was Manchester United who were eyeing a move for the Croatian over the summer.

Perisic had a superb World Cup, in which his side shocked the world and reached the final.

After impressing on the big stage, Manchester United were reportedly keen to land Perisic.

So, given he is seemingly available in January, United fans may be wondering why their side are not back in for Perisic.

It has since be reported by the Evening Standard that Perisic has a Jose Mourinho target, which United no longer want to pursue now Jesse Lingard is playing well.
