There was widespread terror, confusion an commotion in the Nairobi CBD after a suspected grenade was fired at the Latema-Tom Mboya junction. Early reports claim that one person was injured following the attack which occurred a few minutes after 7.30pm on Saturday.
Witnesses say that the suspect was seen carrying the grenade using a trolley. Police and the Kenya bomb squad are already at the scene of the crime tying to look into the incident while securing the area. Sources also claim that the person ferrying the grenade was headed around Kenya Cinema area.
He had been assigned a job by an unknown client who faked that he had forgotten his Identification card and was meters behind trying to relocate it when the grenade went off. More details to follow….
