Chelsea fans go crazy about N’Golo Kante’s triple nutmeg goal against Tottenham(Watch Video)

As the corner ball fell to N'Golo Kante, the Frenchman lashed through catching the sweet spot

Goals may not come along too often for N’Golo Kante, but the Frenchman proves he has every trick in the locker when he does eventually hit the back of the net.

This was evidenced on Thursday night as the World Cup winner struck a crucial goal against rivals Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.

Seizing upon a ball bouncing perfectly on the edge of the area from Eden Hazard’s corner, Kante stepped up and lashed through with his right foot – catching the sweet spot.

The diminutive midfielder showed off expert technique as he prepared for the half-volley

What then unfolded was a scene of beauty, as the ball first gliding effortlessly through the legs of diving defender Ben Davies, trying in vain to make a block.

Continuing on, the ball then breezed between the legs of Moussa Sissoko before honing in on goal, again through another pair of legs in goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.

Watching on, Kante’s team-mate David Luiz was seen turning to the crowd and holding his arms outstretched in disbelief after the ball hit the back of the net.

‘Kante could nutmeg a mermaid. Dude literally nutmegged 4 spurs players before the ball went in,’ wrote one fan on Twitter.

‘Give Kante a Ballon d’Or for that triple nutmeg,’ added another.

Moussa Sissoko then received exactly the same treatment

Kante’s opening goal was soon added to by Hazard, who put Chelsea in the driving seat with a 2-1 aggregate lead.

Spurs appeared toothless without their pivotal trio Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli, but were able to stage a comeback.
