Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have been placed in Pot 2 of the Caf Confederation Cup draw set to be conducted in Cairo, Egypt on Monday.
Gor, who edged Cameroon outfit New Stars 2-1 aggregate to advance, are in the same pot with Sudanese giants Al Hilal, CS Sfaxien of Tunisia and RS Berkane of Morocco.
K’Ogalo are likely to be drawn with Zambian side Zesco United, Esperance (Tunisia), Zamalek (Egypt) and Raja Casablanca (Morocco) in Pot 1 or Pot 3 that comprises Nkana, Asante Kotoko (Ghana), Hassania US Agadir (Morocco), AS Otoho d’Oyo (Congo), Rangers International (Nigeria), Petro Atletico (Angola), Salitas FC (Botswana) and Algerian side Hussein Dey.
In the Gor draw, the first ball drawn will go directly to group A; a ball will be drawn from pot A to determine the team’s position in the group.
The second ball drawn will go directly to group B; a ball will be drawn from pot B to determine the team’s position in the group.
The third ball drawn will go directly to group C; a ball will be drawn from pot C to determine the team’s position in the group while the fourth ball drawn will go directly to group D; a ball will be drawn from pot D to determine the team’s position in the group.
