Dusit Terror Attack Didn’t expect to meet this Elite British Special Forces Soldier at the Hotel

An SAS hero ‘showed no fear’ while running into the carnage of the Nairobi attack that left 14 people dead, according to a senior British military source.

As gunfire rang out and screaming and bloodied civilians fled, the lone, balaclava-clad figure stormed the building without hesitation.

Despite the explosions, the special forces man ran into the carnage with one mission in mind – to save as many lives as possible.

Inside Nairobi’s upscale dusitD2 hotel complex four militants were slaughtering and wounding office workers. Dressed in dark paramilitary gear, they were part of the Somalia-based al-Shabab network, linked to al-Qaeda.

But, repeatedly, the soldier and war veteran entered the hotel, guiding terrified victims to safety and playing a key role in the assault on the attackers.

a senior British military source told the Mirror: “Without this special forces soldier, many more lives would have been lost.

“He showed no fear and even though people died and were wounded, it would have been a lot worse were he not there to do his bit to take on the terrorists.”

The SAS man is part of a small “liason” team embedded with Kenyan special forces

SAS veteran Chris Ryan – who served in the elite regiment for 10 years – said the soldier “was out shopping” when he heard about the hotel attack.
