Revealed: Borussia Dortmund’s smart plan that will eliminate Bayern’s dominace of the Bundesliga

In the past few years or so, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have been known to poach fresh, young talent from a number of their Bundesliga rivals.

From the likes of Leon Goretzka, Manuel Neuer and Niklas Sule to the more recent signing of Benjamin Pavard, the club have somewhat eliminated the competition.

But one team in particular have felt the full force of Bayern’s dominance in the transfer market. Step forward, Borussia Dortmund.

Robert Lewandowski was perhaps their biggest departure back in 2014, when he joined Munich on a free transfer.

Then you’ve got Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels, who also departed the Westfalenstadion for Bundesliga glory, achieving a number of league titles in the process.

You cannot deny the negative impact this had made at Dortmund, but things are about to change, according to German publicationĀ BILD.

It is being reported that bosses at the club have ‘passed an internal resolution’ – there will be no more player transfers to FC Bayern in the future.

Is is believed that in order to permanently challenge their rivals for the league title in the coming years, they have decided that no more star players will be handed over to their direct rivals.

The fact that Christian Pulisic decided to join Chelsea for a reported 64 million euros instead of joining rivals Bayern may be the first sign of this new ruling.

Munich currently sit six points behind their rivals Dortmund in the Bundesliga ladder as the BVB look to secure their first league title since 2012.

With the likes of Jadon Sancho, Paco Alcacer and Marco Reus firing on all cylinders, this potentially historic title win could become a real shift in the direction of German football.

Thoughts on the fact Dortmund have internally decided that they will no longer allow any of their players to join Bayern?
